Kelvin has been a personal friend since high school and one of my closest buddies ever! When he told me that he was getting married, of course I was thrilled, especially when I get to be one of his best man! It was only after his wedding day is he able to get some portraits done so of course I’m more than happy to do it. A big cheers to you buddy and I’m real proud of you =)

Funny story: Upon arriving at the location, Kelvin realized that he forgot to bring his shoes and was only in his sandals. So yeah, incorporate that into the shots! Who cares if its sandals, now thats badass!

Hustle & Bustle of A City Life: Singapore

I have always been a fan of street photography. It’s a different art altogether where not only do you require the patience for it, but also the eyes and intimacy for it. It’s not always about standing across the street and shooting with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens but also, to get personal with a subject that you are photographing. Yes you have to be a bit “thick skin” in order to ask a total stranger that you want to photograph them. Or you can be the total opposite and jump right in front of them while shooting them in all of their frightful glory.

But anyways, yes this is a mini project that I will be working on. A personal project I might add. There’s so much to improve, so much to learn and one can never stop learning and that’s what I’m aiming for! In order for me to take better pictures for you is to improve myself and it is a challenge that I am more than willing to take! And thats why I came up with a theme for this; Hustle & Bustle of A City Life.

This documents my street photography in every place that I travel to, aiming to connect with people and to improve my photography skills. My street skills ain’t all that good but any place is a good start right? Everything is shot with a 35mm f1.4G lens, handheld.

I’ve always loved photographing concerts. The lights, the energy and just soaking in the ambience of the people enjoying the performance has always been very inspirational and well, fun to watch. Not to mention being able to enjoy awesome music while photographing = badass photographer! Well actually to summarize, if a photographer really enjoys the work that they are doing, you can really feel it from their work.

I’m just saying you know =)

A fair bit of warning because this is what you will get for any Actual Day Wedding Package Collection that is booked with me.

Yes, I love having intimate sessions with my couple on their wedding day. Yeah sure you’ve had your portraits taken during your pre-wedding session but there is always this special joy on every bits of your face that can only be seen on your wedding day itself! What makes it more magical is….. yes MORE PHOTOS!!! Oh and of course it gives you time to breath from the hecticness of it all and most importantly, to take in gently what has been happening and to spend the experience together which was meant to be yours since well it is your big day after all.

This is why for all my couple I would insist that they give it a bit of thought into it, spare some time to give your photographer room to have some moments with you even if it is just 30 minutes and I promise you that you won’t regret it, not one bit!

Oh and pictures of yourself in that wedding album will definitely look pretty badass!
